O Gavião faz-se ao mar na marina do Funchal e ruma às Ilhas Desertas,
(115ºSE), covil ancestral de perigosos Piratas e actualmente Reserva Natural de lobos-marinhos e aves raras, recentemente reconhecida como Reserva Biogenética pelo Conselho da Europa. O desembarque acontece numa enseada abrigada da
Deserta Grande e inclui um curto passeio guiado de exploração da Ilha, seguido de uma visita à Casa dos vigilantes da Reserva Natural.
Oportunidade ainda para apreciar os prazeres de um banho na água límpida do mar e o reconforto de uma refeição a bordo.
Após o almoço, o Gavião zarpa de regresso à Madeira.

The Desertas islands (115ºSE), said to be the ancestral lair of dangerous pirates is currently a registered nature conservation reserve and natural habitat for Monk
Seals and includes a rare wild life bird sanctuary. The islands have also recently been officially acknowledged by the European Union as a biodiversity reserve of special scientific interest.
We will pull ashore in a sheltered cove to explore the Deserta Grande where you will be able to hike through unspoilt terrain and enjoy a guided tour which includes visiting the Nature Reserve and the Watchmens dwelling.
During your cruise, youll have ample time to pause and appreciate the magnificent scenery and take pleasure in swimming in the warm clear seawater. Lunch aboard the yacht.
After lunch and on your journey back to Madeira our crew will provide you with diverse and interesting information on the history, geology, fauna and flora of the
Desertas as well as some navigation hints!
